Omnibus of three collections; Shatterday (Houghton Mifflin 1980), Deathbird Stories (Harper & Row 1975), and I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream (Pyramid 1967). There is a new introduction, and material has been added to the introductions to each section. The entire text has been corrected and reset. Two stories, “Pretty Maggie Moneyeyes” and “Delusion for a Dragon Slayer”, that were duplicated in the original collections only appear once, and two stories, “A Friend to Man” and “The Sky Is Burning”, plus an essay, “Memoir”, have been added. |
