    Free sample of spoof news items, all reprinted from Frendz #4, June 23, 1971. The issue consisted of two, loose, A3 sheets, folded in half: one containing the front and back covers on one side and the editorial and Sladek’s “Plastitutes” on the other; the other containing “Guilty!” on one side and “The Guardian” on the other, both in portrait mode. There were no page numbers.

    Although advertised on the website as “Published August 2021”, this did not appear until February 2022. Identified only as “the first in a revived New Worlds anthology series”, it is included as #223 only because the following “issue” was numbered #224. Also available in a slipcased, hardcover, edition (978-1-786367-21-1, £59.99), limited to 200 numbered, signed, copies.

    Canadian reprint edition of New Worlds Science Fiction. Probably started in early 1954 and continued through 1956, ended due to a strike, and started back again with issue 99, and then continued to 142. As far as is known the contents were identical to the UK issues but issues were dated a month or two later.
