    Youth’s Companion Combined with The American Boy
    In October 1929 the magazine merged with The Youth’s Companion and for the remainder of the run the title on the cover and in the indicia read Youth’s Companion Combined with American Boy with the first part in increasingly small type; while the title on the running heads was The American Boy—Youth’s Companion and the publisher was referred to as “The Publisher of The American Boy”.
