Mammoth DetectiveCountry: USTotal Issues: 33
Mammoth Detective was the older of the two mystery-detective pulp magazines published by Ziff-Davis, and weighed in initially with a massive 322 pages per issue and a planned monthly schedule. However the paper shortages during the war forced an irregular schedule closer to quarterly and a reduction in page count to 178 pages. After the war it briefly attained a monthly schedule but by then the writing was on the wall and it folded in late 1947 after a total of 33 issues. Issues & Index Sources
