A fanzine containing amateur fiction set on Marion Zimmer Bradley’s Darkover. We would not ordinarily extend our coverage to a magazine of this type, but a number of these stories were later reprinted in the Darkover anthologies published by DAW Books and their prior appearances have never been documented. |

Startling Mystery Stories specialised in stories where either the detective or villain had supernatural powers or their scientific equivalent. Despite a steadily growing circulation during its 18 issues it was killed in 1971 by increasing costs and distribution problems. |
