Four in One Gang and Thrills Shorts (about)
The title suggests an omnibus from previous volumes of Gang Shorts and Thrill Shorts, but the copy seen contains Gang Shorts #3 & #4, Occult Shorts #2 and Weird Story Magazine #2 so it is possible there were different contents in different copies.
(Pub. Info.)- ___ (1949) (Gerald G. Swan, 6d, 36+36+36+36pp, 5.5″ x 8.5″) (Contents)
F.P. Detective Stories: (about)
A thin pulp that reprinted from various Popular Publications magazines. The first few issues were published in Australia and publication then moved to New Zealand. The title on the cover had a leading “The ” until late 1949 when it was dropped, and the Table of Contents for F.P. Detective Stories stated “Incorporating ‘The G.P. Detective Stories’” but none of the Contents pages seen had a leading “The ”. Both cover and Table of Contents used a stylized logo in place of “F.P.” and “G.P.” but the letters clearly stood for the initials of the publishers and are given with added periods in later references so have been assumed here in the magazine title.

Gangland-Racketeer Stories
Mike Cook, in Mystery, Detective and Espionage Magazines, lists this as a Blue Band magazine in the 1930s, but this is probably a confusion for the merger of Gangland Stories and Racketeer Stories.
Gangland Stories: (about)
Racketeer Stories and Gangland Stories were two of Harold Hersey’s less successful gangster pulp magazines, attempting to cash in on the popularity of Gangster Stories. The former lasted for only 18 issues and the latter for a mere 14 issues before the two magazines were merged to form Racketeer and Gangland Stories, which lasted a mere three issues. Commenced with Volume 1 #2, a practice not unusual with Harold Hersey magazines.

Gang World: (about)
Gang World was one of the first gangster pulps, created by Popular Publications in 1930 and running for 25 monthly issues. When it folded in November 1932, the title was picked up by Spencer Publications, but by then the pressure against gangster pulps was growing and the magazine only lasted for a further seven issues.
