This group of magazines is generally more regarded for their cover (and/or interior art), frequently including nudes (predominantly female), but each of those listed (with one or two possible exceptions) was also a rich source of fiction for, at least, a large part of their existence. This category includes everything from the saucy/spicy titles from the 1920's & 1930's to the more explicit magazines of more recent decades. More information on the former group can be found in Doug Ellis's Uncovered: The Hidden Art of Girlie Pulps.
At the moment there are no plans to attempt to index these magazines, although some issues are being indexed as part of the FictionMags Index, but we would always be interested to hear from anyone who has access to some of these magazines and is interested in indexing them – please if you would like to help.
Illustrated checklists for all the magazines that are believed to fall into this category can be found here.
