Detective Short Stories
Detective Short Stories specialised in unflagging, unsubtle and ferocious
action, with covers typically featuring girls in torn clothes, tied up and in
fearful danger. Despite the relatively poor quality of most of the stories, the
magazine lasted for six years from 1943 to 1947, followed four years later by a
single issue from a different publisher.
