A bulky tabloid magazine published in South Africa which published a wide range of features, short stories (some local, some reprinted), and comic strips reprinted from the US and UK. Published "A Matter of Form" by Margery Allingham, 10 Jan-1941 and "The Meaning of the Act" 22 Jan-1943.

The Land of Sunshine was the first illustrated monthly centered in and on Southern Californian culture. In 1898 it began to include literature and adopted the subtitle "The Magazine of California and the West".
