Goth fanzine which published a number of short stories by Brian Stableford.

Published shortly after the demise of a very similar magazine, Tightrope, from the same publisher, 77 Sunset Strip also hoped to gain from the publicity of a popular television series of the same name. The pulp size and format was an anachronism and, despite the better-than-average run of contemporary crime-adventure stories, the magazine folded after a single issue.

A slender fan publication by a member of the Small Press Writers and Artists Organization, containing a short story by William Gorman.

Carried no fiction until Winter 1943 issue, being a critical literary review. Thereafter always featured one or more stories per issue. Featuring long stories of the titular detective hero, it ran in parallel with the weekly Union Jack, and in fact long outlived that publication, lasting into the 1960s; "complete detective stories, of about 35,000 words... The same central characters - Sexton Blake, Paula Dane and Tinker - are invariably involved".

Unofficially, the 'New Look' given to the Sexton Blake Library in Jun-1956 marks the beginning of a '4th Series', widely recognised by collectors and subsequently adopted by the editor W. Howard Baker, who continued to edit the Blake '5th Series' in paperback format from Mayflower-Dell (1965 - 1968) and later in hardback. The SBL was also translated into foreign languages from the 1930s on; one edition was published in Buenos Aires as "El Neuevo Magazine Sexton Blake" in the 1940s and 1950s; other editions appeared in Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Holland, Portugal and Spain, and also translated in Hindustani.
