Mystery Novels by Amelia Reynolds Long
Between 1936 and 1952, Amelia Reynolds Long wrote a series of mystery
novels, the majority of which were published by Phoenix Press. Several of her novels
appeared under the pen names Patrick Laing and Adrian Reynolds. The checklist below
includes every one of Long's novels in the order that they were first published.
Behind the Evidence
William Crawford's Visionary Publishing Company, 1936
Published under the pseudonym Peter Reynolds. This book was Long's first mystery novel and
was inspired by the famous Lindbergh kidnapping. Only 75 copies were printed, and these
were mostly distributed among Long's friends. Thanks to Patrick Harrigan for this
