    Liberty (1924)    (about)
A free promotional copy of the first issue, dated May 4, 1924 and titled The $25.000 Prize Name Weekly, was included as a supplement to Chicago Tribune and Sunday News of New York. Aside from the title the only change was the editorial: “We Make Our Bow.”

    Liberty [v1 #1, May 10, 1924] (The Coloroto Corporation, 5¢, 64pp, 10" x 13", cover by John T. McCutcheon)
From a bound volume at U of Minnesota. The “News of the World in Pictures” title is from the table of contents in the first issue; later issues do not include the title, though several pages are devoted to news photographs (which I’m ignoring). Details supplied by Denny Lien.

    Liberty [v1 #2, May 17, 1924] (The Coloroto Corporation, 5¢, 64pp, 10" x 13", cover by James Montgomery Flagg)
