Started as a weekly tabloid called Cassells Illustrated Family Paper; changed to Cassells Magazine in 1867 but continued as a weekly until 1874 when it changed to a monthly called Cassells Family Magazine. The title changed back to Cassells Magazine in 1897 becoming more like Strand Magazine, and then changed to a pulp magazine in 1912 under the title Cassells Magazine of Fiction before reverting to Cassells Magazine in 1925 as which it continued until December 1932, after which it was merged with The Story-teller. |
