Mike Shayne Mystery Magazine Annual    (about)

Each issue contained an original Mike Shayne novella, and 15-17 short stories mainly reprinted from other Renown publications, chiefly The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and The Girl from U.N.C.L.E., although six of the stories in the 1972 issue are original.

Despite the appearance of being an Australian reprint edition of Mike Shayne Mystery Magazine this actually reprinted stories from a wide variety of sources, and even had some original stories. The first 12 issues were also published as the first series of Mike Shayne Mystery Magazine (UK) with revised dates and other minor differences.

Despite the appearance of being a British reprint edition of Mike Shayne Mystery Magazine this actually reprinted stories from a wide variety of sources. The first series were actually published in Australia and are identical to the first 12 issues of Mike Shayne Mystery Magazine (Australia) except for revised dates and other minor differences. They were distributed in England by Atlas Publishing & Distributing Co. Ltd., 18 Bride Lane, London, E.C.4.

Mobs    (about)

One of several gangster pulps published by Harold B. Hersey. However, by the time it was published, in 1930, public interest in gangsters was fading and it only lasted for 2 issues. Commenced with Volume 1 #2, not uncommon with magazines published by Harold Hersey.

Mobsters    (about)

Although published for only three issues, Mobsters was an important traditional pulp magazine with “stories of the fight against the Underworld”. The covers were similar to the paperback books that began in this period to crowd out the magazines.
