P(eter) Schuyler Miller (February 21, 1912 to October
12, 1974) was a U. S. science fiction author and book reviewer. He
was brought up on a farm and he became interested in Verne and Haggard in
his youth. He studied chemistry, he worked for the Schenectady Department
Of Education, and was a technical writer living in Pittsburgh. He was
deeply interested in in archaeology. He wrote a number of notable stories
in the 1930's, and a few postwar, but became best known as the most important
book reviewer in the science fiction magazines. Miller became an author
when he won the Air Wonder Stories Cover Story Contest in February
1930.
