    Title changed from The Argosy. Title is “Argosy of Complete Stories” on front cover and contents page, but just “Argosy” on spine. Printed in England by Allied Newspapers Ltd., Manchester and published on the 7th of each month by The Amalgamated Press Ltd., The Fleetway House, Farringdon Street, London, E.C.4. Cover has large faint silhouette of ship in background, with small darker silhouette of ship in foreground, in two different colours, together with list of author names. On the first issue seen (5/40) the caption at the bottom reads “Enjoy the Good Company of the World’s Greatest Writers”; on later issues this just lists the featured story.
