    The New Magazine—UK; Apr. 1909-Dec. 1930 (260 issues); Cassell, London, later Amalgamated Press (from 1928?); monthly; standard pulp; editors Harold Wimbury, Newman Flower; an all-fiction periodical which, as it developed, aimed more at women readers; but it published many mystery stories, including several “Thinking Machine” tales by Jacques Futrelle; also Frank Howel Evans, Sax Rohmer, William Hope Hodgson, Edgar Wallace, P. G. Wodehouse, Bruce Graeme (“Blackshirt” stories, 1920s).
