Started as a weekly tabloid called Cassell’s Illustrated Family Paper; changed to Cassell’s Magazine in 1867 but continued as a weekly until 1874 when it changed to a monthly called Cassell’s Family Magazine. The title changed back to Cassell’s Magazine in 1897 becoming more like Strand Magazine, and then changed to a pulp magazine in 1912 under the title Cassell’s Magazine of Fiction before reverting to Cassell’s Magazine in 1925 as which it continued until December 1932, after which it was merged with The Story-teller. |
