[]John Creasey Mystery Magazine: (about)
The (John) Creasey Mystery Magazine was a high-quality mystery and detective digest that ran for 90 issues between 1956 and 1965, mainly on a monthly basis. It was initially titled The Creasey Mystery Magazine and mainly featured reprint stories selected by Creasey, but was renamed to John Creasey Mystery Magazine when Creasey took over publication in October 1957, and thereafter featured a sprinkling of new stories both by old favourites and new authors.

[]John Creasey Mystery Magazine (US) (about)
Several issues of John Creasey Mystery Magazine were distributed in the USA. Initially the only difference was that a US price appeared on the cover as well as the usual UK price; but this changed in 1959 to stickers on the cover identifying them as a “Special US Edition”, with a price of 35 cents. Although only the month name is specified, these are known to have appeared 4-8 months after the equivalent UK issue.

[]Jungle Stories (1938) (about)
Essentially a character pulp; each issue featured a lead novel about Ki-Gor. This character was an imitation of Tarzan, which has caused Jungle Stories to be heavily collected by some Burroughs fans. It should be noted, however, that while some of the novels contain fantasy elements, the series as a whole is not fantasy, since Ki-Gor lacks Tarzan’s ability to communicate with animals. The unusual circumstance of several Ki-Gor novels having the same titles is believed to be a side-effect of the re-use of cover paintings on which the story titles had already been engraved.
