Dutch Treat Club and Authors League Represented at Rites for Humorist Here

Funeral services for Ellis Parker Butler, humorist, who died Monday at his Summer home in Housatonic, Mass., were held yesterday at the Hallett Homestead, Northern Boulevard and 147th Street, Flushing, Queens. About 200 persons attended.

Among those represented were the Authors League of America, the Dutch Treat Club and several local business and charity organizations with which Mr. Butler was identified during the thirty-five years he lived in Flushing.

The Authors League was represented by Gene Buck, Homer Croy and Orson Lowell, directors, and Louise Sillcox, secretary.

The services were conducted by the Rev. George Drew Egbert, pastor of the First Congregational Church, Flushing, assisted by the Rev. Dr. Thomas H. Mackenzie, minister of the Reformed Dutch Church of Flushing. Burial was in Flushing Cemetery.
