1. American Magazine (November, 1924)   "Many Happy Returns o' the Day!"   An essay. Includes a photo of the author and his son, Ellis. "The only way you'll ever have 'em is to scuttle the idea that your birthday makes you a year older; on the contrary, you're only twenty-four hours older than you were the day before.
